IPM Agenda 2014 Announced

The agenda for the ILMC Production Meeting (IPM) has been announced, with four focused sessions tabled for the event.

Back to the Future: ‘education across the globe’ looks at the thorny issue of industry training and apprenticeships, to ask where the next generation are coming from, and whether they’re suitably educated to take the reigns. Lost in Guidance asks whether the abundance of regulations, rules and guidance is helping or hindering the business; and Future-proof Your Business looks at new developments and best practise around the the infrastructure of an event: power, waste, water, wireless etc.

Finally, following on from last year’s Fatigue panel which announced some shocking findings regarding the dangers of overworking, Is Anybody Listening? asks how all stakeholders within the business – from managers and agents, to promoters, venues and production – can work better, and more safely, together.

IPM takes place on Thursday 6 March and attendance is discounted for ILMC members. Sign up when you register for ILMC, or contact [email protected] for further info or if you have already registered for ILMC.

Available Meeting Spaces at ILMC 26

In response to feedback from several of our members, ILMC has introduced more meeting space this year to ensure that delegates have as much space as possible to conduct business. If you are arranging meetings in advance, here’s a list of available spaces.

One space worth a particular mention is Robertson Taylor’s Carousel Suite, which will run on Saturday and Sunday in the Fairground Room (York Suite) on the Mezzanine Floor of the hotel, and includes table service for drinks and snacks. More info is available here.

Final Showcase Announced

ILMC is happier than a juggler in a ball shop to welcome our agency friends ITB to the evening showcase schedule this year. The London agency will be kicking off our musical timetable with a selection of great new signings and roster favourites on Thursday 6 March.

The following day, it’s the turn of the Dutch Performing Arts-sponsored Death-Defying Dutch Impact Sideshow to wow our members, while Saturday sees The Spectacular Swiss Live Talents Sideshow hosted by Swissamp.

All the showcases take place in Archangel, right across the road from the Royal Garden Hotel, meaning that delegates can catch some great new music and be back in the bar before it’s their round again… Details on all ILMC events are available here.

Meanwhile, we’ll be putting together our Access All Areas schedule during the next few weeks – with a full listing of shows around London that members can get free admission to during the ILMC weekend – so don’t forget to let us know if you are planning a gig that you would like us to include. Just email [email protected] with the details, or to find out more.

ILMC Rate Change Approaches

The early-bird delegate rate for ILMC 26 closes at the end of this month, after which the rates rise by £50. That goes a long way these days – in fact, at the time of writing, it can get you from Dortmund to London and back…a fact worth bearing in mind if you live in the North Rhine-Westphalia region. If not, it’s a bit of extra cash to buy a sandwich on the way to the hotel.

Registrations are at an all-time high this year, so don’t miss out…if you haven’t already, head over to the ILMC 26 website now and get signed up.

Green Events and Innovations returns

For the second year running, the Green Events and Innovations Conference (GEIC) will be part of the ILMC programming, taking place on Thursday 6 March, immediately before the main conference.
As the industry's response to environmental management matures, the sixth edition of the GEIC will continue to demonstrate the latest solutions and technologies for practical event management. More information about the schedule is here, and any ILMC members wishing to attend will qualify for a discounted rate of £50.
