New Issue of IQ Out Now!

The latest issue of IQ Magazine will land on desks later this week, and as whistle-stop tours through the global live music business go, it's got plenty of stops.

What with the Northern hemisphere’s festival season now in full swing, two of the world’s best outdoor events are profiled – Belgium’s Rock Werchter which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and comparative new kid on the block, South Africa’s off-the-wall Oppikoppi festival which chalks up its second decade this year.

This issue of IQ sees the launch of a regular technology page – Techno Files – which aims to chart some of the coolest new gadgets in the live entertainment world. Meanwhile, the cover story looks at the complex world of streaming live shows, and the various perils and pitfalls for rights holders.

Elsewhere in the magazine, Australia is the focus of the market spotlight feature, while the touring theatre and family show market is also profiled in our annual round up.

Comment pieces come from Louis Bellavance of Festival d’été de Québec, Cees Muurling of Mojo Barriers, Carl Leighton-Pope himself, and Steven Corfield of Serious Stages. ILMC 26 Feedback

The comments we receive after an ILMC are the best way of judging the success of the event – and ILMC 26 produced some incredible feedback. We’ve posted a selection of the messages in the conference report here, but if you still have something to add, please get in touch here.

A big thank you goes to everyone who took the time to send us their thoughts – it really is appreciated. The ILMC is very much the sum of all of its members, and your input is vital for us to continue to be a relevant meeting place for the industry, so please keep the ideas coming!
