The ILMC Breakfast Meeting welcomes Arthur Fogel

This year's one-on-one Sunday morning Breakfast Meeting is guaranteed to see bleary-eyed delegates queuing around the block to get in, as live music legend Arthur Fogel takes the hot seat with host and raconteur Ed Bicknell.
As Chairman of Global Music and President of Global Touring for Live Nation, Fogel has consistently set the bar for large-scale tours. Highlights over a 35-year history include producing U2 360° tour (highest grossing tour of all time), Madonna’s 2008/2009 Sticky & Sweet Tour (highest grossing tour by a solo artist) and Lady Gaga’s 2010 The Monster Ball Tour (highest grossing tour by a debut artist).
David Bowie, Neil Young, Sting, The Police, Paul Simon, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Bruno Mars… Fogel’s resume is a who’s who of modern entertainment. And if record-breaking super tours weren’t enough, he was even the feature of a 2014 documentary, Who the F**K is Arthur Fogel?, excerpts of which will be screened at the session.

Far be it from us to dampen anyone’s Saturday night fun, but this is definitely a session to arrive early for…

Emma Banks to host The Arthurs 2015

Following a triumphant debut as co-host of the Arthur Awards last year, the ILMC team is happier than The Joker on laughing gas that CAA’s Emma Banks will be hosting the live music industry’s Oscar equivalents this year.

The Arthur Awards takes place as part of the ‘Night on the Tiles’ Gala Dinner on Saturday 7 March at The Savoy Hotel in London. With nominees spanning the breadth of the live music world, it’s a truly star-studded affair with champagne, fine wines, and the great and good of the business in attendance.

ILMC 2015 first panels revealed

The first few sessions of the ILMC agenda to be announced show a distinct Latin American flavour and many of the market’s leading players will be in attendance to share knowledge, stories and expertise.

On Friday 6 March, Bianca Freitas, (pictured) from Enjoy Experiences, Brazil, leads a dedicated Market Focus session examining the Latin American market to discover why major festival brands and entertainment companies are looking so closely at this fascinating region. Joining Freitas will be Carlos Geniso (DG Medios, Chile), Leo Valeria (Transistor, Chile), Maria Cecilia Lorenzin (Time 4 Fun, Brazil) and Marianna Lellis (Rock in Rio, Brazil).

The following day, Move Concerts’ principal and legendary promoter Phil Rodriguez (pictured) will be the subject of a Dragon’s Den session, discussing his life spent working in this exciting region, while imparting tips and tricks of the trade to delegates fortunate enough to have made it into the room.

Move Concerts is also one of the trio of companies, (with DG Medios and Rock in Rio) that is supporting this year’s ‘Night on the Tiles’ Gala Dinner & Arthur Awards on Saturday 7 March.

Gala Dinner & Arthur Awards

With a new year underway, it’s time to lock down those key calendar events, and atop the diary of any self-respecting live music industry hero should be the‘Night on the Tiles’ Gala Dinner & Arthur Awards.
The five-star, champagne-fuelled dinner takes place at The Savoy, London’s top hotel, with fine-wines, four courses and a comic book full of thrilling entertainment. And once appetites are quenched, the evening climaxes in The Arthur Awards 2015, the Oscars-equivalent of the global concert business.
