AXS confirmed for table football

With ILMC’s Friday night schedule now jam-packed, our friends at AXS have stepped up to host The Sidekicks Table Football ‘Coupe du Monde’. This annual showdown takes place from midnight on Friday 6 March in the hotel bar, as teams of two battle it out for international glory and the world’s smallest cup.

The mini-match takes place on ILMC’s brand new custom-made Bonzini table, which will be unveiled at the conference. Interested players should be in the bar from 10pm to sign-up.

Prizes wanted for ILMC 27

Each edition of ILMC raises a significant sum of money for our a chosen charity or charities, which this year are Nordoff Robbins and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

To help with this fundraising, ILMC is looking for prizes that can be won during Sunday afternoon’s Nikos Fund Prize Draw, and also bid on via our closed eAuction. Do you have anything you’d like to contribute? It could be anything from tickets and experiences, to memorabilia or more. Email [email protected] with details.

Rate change for ILMC 27!

Like all good things – at 6pm GMT on Friday 30 January, our super generous offer for ILMC early-birds to save £50 on the standard registration fee comes to an end.

So if you’re not just maxing out the company credit card, and want to leave enough cash in your utility belt to splash out on a few rounds of drinks in the hotel bar, or get your cape and costume dry-cleaned the morning after, then it doesn’t take a Megamind to work out that confirming your place around now would be a good idea!

YouTube & Facebook at ILMC

ILMC’s new workshop schedule is taking shape fast, with the first two Friday sessions seeing two of the world’s biggest online destinations on hand to give delegates real-world tips and tools for better business.

Friday 6 March kicks off with YouTube: Streaming, Discovery and Ticketing Futuresrun by YouTube executives David Thorpe (partner product manager) and Matias Llort (strategic partner manager). The workshop will cover festival and event streaming, and discuss what role the world’s largest music website can play in planning tours and selling tickets.

Later that day, Facebook’s head of entertainment for Europe, Niall Fagan, will run Facebook: Making More of Social Media, a workshop dedicated to getting the most from the world’s largest social media portal. Expect 60 minutes of insight into music discovery, promotion, marketing and ticketing, as Fagan imparts insider knowledge of Facebook’s services, both current and forthcoming.

IPM agenda announced

The agenda for the 8th ILMC Production Meeting (IPM) is now live online. Topics for the Thursday 5 March event (the day before ILMC) range across the international production sector:

A Square Peg in a Round Hole? looks at what change inbound static CDM regulations will have on a dynamic events industry; while What Goes Up, Must Come Down… Safely! sees weather, gravity and temporary structures tackled in light of several new initiatives.

Third session Backstage to the Future goes beyond the sales pitches to investigate which new technologies are genuinely improving the production world. Finally, and following on from research discussed at IPM in 2013, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead considers the affect of fatigue in many on-site accidents.

More details of the agenda topics are available here.

Attending IPM costs £55 for ILMC delegates and £99 for non-ILMC delegates. To obtain the discounted rate, ILMC delegates should register for IPM at the same time as registering for ILMC or contact [email protected] if already registered for ILMC.
