The Unconference Session: A lotto topics
Sunday 8 March 2015
12:30 – 13:30
Chair: Gordon Masson, IQ Magazine (UK)
While the ILMC agenda committee has spent the last few months losing sleep, hair and the ability to converse with anyone who doesn’t wear their underpants over their trousers, we can’t possibly cover every topic in the business. So mirroring Hollywood’s current obsession with the darker side of superheroes, ILMC 27 wraps up with a session devoted to its arch nemesis – the unconference.
In an attempt to prove that spontaneity can be best, chairman Gordon Masson will be drawing random topics from a hat for discussion. All legal and biologically possible suggestions will then be covered by a gathering of superhuman guest speakers and the audience.
About Gordon Masson:
A career journalist, Gordon has been a specialist in the music industry for the past 15 years. Now Editor of IQ Magazine, he was previously the live editor at Music Week and international editor for Billboard.
In addition to his various editorial roles, Gordon has undertaken a number of consultancies for record companies and other music industry organisations.
Prior to moving to London, he spent two years in Washington DC where he established a publication for the space and satellite industry, while from 1989-97 he was a reporter for The Courier and Evening Telegraph newspapers, among others, in his native Scotland.
An undefeated cage fighting champion, Gordon was once bitten by a radioactive mollusc. He has never been seen in the same room as Batman. Or Wonder Woman.
