The Emerging Markets Place: Heroes & villains

Saturday 7 March 2015
10:00 – 11:00
Room 2
Chairs: Barıs Basaran, Pozitif Live (TR) & Michal Kascak, Pohoda Festival (SK)

This year’s Emerging Markets (EM) session is, to a large extent ‘part 2’, continuing on from the extremely well attended discussion presented by Barıs Basaran and Michal Kascak last year. Many aspects of geopolitical instability, and the worst excesses of extremism continue to take their toll on the music business in certain markets; as the corporates retreat from some territories but enter others, will the competition and high fees price out ‘the indies’, and what’s the fate of each region? As local talent develops in the EM markets, will EM eventually stand for ‘exporting markets’? All this and more will be covered in what promises to be another exciting and informative session.

Guest speakers include:
Tobbe Lorentz, The Agency Group Scandinavia (SE)
Semyon Galperin, Tele-Club (RU)
Tony Nagamaiah, Malaysia Major Events (MY)
Ivan Milivojev, EXIT Festival (RS)
Joshua Perry, Anova Music (IL)
